Zip the Lip and Don't Tempt Fate.
I should not have mentioned what a glorious start May Long got off to yesterday. I should not have said anything about sunshine and it being the best May Long since my kids were tiny. I woke up to grey skys and buckets of water being poured earthwise.

I was going to plant all my hanging baskets and planters today with all the flowers I bought yesterday, or rather my husband bought for me, to his wallet's shock. With my plans ruined I can only contemplate all the people who also planned to be outside today; those people on camping trips at the lakes, already, and then poor Sue on her now wet horse hunt. Dudes, I am very sorry. I promise faithfully to keep my mounth shut in future.

And I hope you were able to have a Happy Birthday in spite of this, Sue.

Heh, well I won't be celebrating until next weekend, so that's okay :) And I woke up feeling terrible this morning. Had a late night with some guests but I had a fire pit to burn all that lilac we took out. That was great but I had to stay up late and watch it otherwise I wouldn't have felt safe and I don't know whether being close to it or what, but, yeah, not good this morning. I would have gone to see Everest today if we didn't have tomorrow as well. So we are going up tomorrow early hoping to avoid holiday traffic etc.

I have plant envy :) I looked at some yesterday but ended buying boring weed and feed not color. I was actually pricing out horse feed, saddles and hay to give me some idea of how much this is all going to cost me.

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling so good. Well I hope you get a better day tomorrow for a horse visit.

Oh yes, the weed and feed. I have got some from last year but what I am planting, or want to plant if it ever stops raining, is hanging baskets and containers. I am not doing flowerbeds this weekend, even if I could. Both my thumbs are threatening to pop so I might end up back in the splints, only on both sides. Mmm, one is pink and one sided and the other is black and two sided. Maybe I go buy another black one and then I won't look such a dork.
