On silliness
Apart from the spa treatment, my kids also bought me a selection of face masks. Over the years, I have been a toad about wearing sun block and moisturisers and the such and now I have very dry skin.

Anyhow, I have just had my shower, leaving it late to make sure everyone else doesn't either start one at the same time or put on the washer or dishwasher. This happens frequently and I love a loooooong hot shower. So I pick up one of these masks and start slapping it on. Oh, it feels sticky. I get the mirror and indeed verify that I have annoited my face in what looks like ornamental snot. It is very sticky. I am not sure if it will set, or if it is even supposed to set. I can't read the instructions because I took off my glasses before I put on the snot. Now I can't see. Bad move.

I think I will give this thirty minutes before I find out if I still have a face left.

It did set, very very hard, like plastic. Hard plastic. Anyhow, I pulled it off and I guess I won't be needing to pluck my eyebrows for a while.

Puts on glasses and looks at instructions on packet. 'Leave for 10 to 15 minutes. Ease off from the corners. Do not pull.' Oh. Apparently, it also wasn't snot as it has a little not on it 'Against animal testing' and 'Vegatarian standard.' It also contains Siberian ginsing and lemon grass as well as kelp and papyra. Now I can see I spot the words 'Facial Peel'. Well I guess the skin has quite a few levels before the nerve endings start to protest.

Interesting. Note to self. Read instructions before applying product in future.
